PAUL TOBEY

CEO, FOUNDER

Long before Paul was orchestrating marketing plays, he was an award winning composer and pianist orchestrating symphonies, literally. So bringing thousands of moving parts to make a company’s marketing perform beautifully was literally just math and music for Paul.

Since 2007, Paul Tobey has been featured on stages across the world as a thought leader in Digital Marketing. As CEO of Training Business Pros he’s brought the company to be Canada’s Top Digital Marketing Training Company. Training Business Pros has trained over 50,000 business owners across Canada and the USA, helping them earn millions. Paul is author of 2 published books: Suggestology and BDO#1. TBP is now home to an Elite Super Cell that helps reverse engineer sales pipelines and implement digital marketing strategies for companies in most business verticals.

NANCY HOULE

VP OPERATIONS

Nancy Houle is in charge of day to day operations including Finance, Legal, HR, Insurance, and business development. If Nancy is not setting up partnerships with International partners, she’ll be setting up strategic relations with sponsors or government funding bodies. As co-founder of TBP, Nancy has witnessed the company serve well over 50 thousand companies. The team celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary in November 2017.

In 2014, Training Business Pros added the agency division to it’s service of offerings, bringing Business Pros Marketing into the fold of digital marketing boutique firms serving a portfolio of businesses that include retail, distribution, manufacturing and online properties in an array of industry verticals.

ADRIAN

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING | ICP

Adrian is the resident tech genius as well as not being that bad of a digital marketer. He is the lead developer of FormLift and is responsible for much of the cool automation that Training Business Pros uses to run the company.

Adrian regularly writes for the TBP blog to help small businesses employ what they might usually believe to be super complicated strategies, as well as occasionally hosts the Toronto Infusionsoft User group to train business owners and give step by step tutorials to implement complex automation.

The only thing he enjoys more than cycling on the weekends is seeing other companies having big wins as a direct result of Training Business Pros’ efforts.

GEOFF

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As a past graduate of TBP’s digital marketing program, Geoff eventually circled back to take the lead as Business Development Manager for TBP. Geoff has over 15+ years experience in sales and marketing. He brings years of experience working for digital agencies helping clients increase customer engagement, retention and revenue.

Geoff ‘s inside advantage is that he actually has hand’s on knowledge of integrated Marketing; Social Media and Social Network Marketing; Brand Campaign Development & Implementation which affords him the opportunity to have more meaningful conversations with new clients to the TBP tribe.

What does this mean for you? He can quickly tell if we can help you or not because he is a digital marketer. He won’t waste any time telling clients if they are the right fit for the TBP portfolio. If not, he’ll let you know how to prepare to be part of our portfolio.

MIKE

CRM IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST | ICP

Core Genius: Training

Mike was online before there was anything called “the internet.” No he is not THAT old, he just started very young. He went from a kid writing code on his commodore 64 to designing websites and digital solutions for small businesses.

After running his own web development company for about 10 years, he transitioned to pursue a career as a SAP-trained professional. He chose to come back when his friends would still come to him for web development advice. This rekindled his passion for using digital media to help people succeed.

Mike brings his many years of Digital Media Development, Project Management, and Customer Relations experience to the TBP team. Mike is the Training Business Pros’ Infusionsoft strategist, whose goal is to support and empower TBP’s client portfolio.

ATTY

LEAD DESIGNER

As our lead Graphic and Web Designer, Atty has more than 10 years in Graphic and Web Design.

She joined TBP after a 6 years stint with a popular magazine where Atty had to develop both the online and offline print material for the magazine and it’s clients. Her portfolio of design was impressive, so this combined with her computer science studies and strong knowledge of WordPress Web Design made her a natural choice for TBP.

Atty works on our Deep Dive team and along with our digital marketing strategists, complete’s website make-overs and integrates sales funnels and lifecycle marketing.

PETER

DIGITAL MARKETING
STRATEGIST

Peter comes to TBP from two very competitive verticals: car loans and online ticket sales.  One couldn’t ask for better “real world training” then getting one’s hands dirty in the lead gen business where the eco-system is known as “eat or be eaten”.

As a digital marketing strategist, he managed large facebook marketing & adwords budgets.  He’s created the social media schedules, integrated the CRM webforms, managed wordpress blogs, implemented the SEO, …all with the focused goal of helping clients sell tons of product and/or services.

Fun facts about Peter: He’s also an awesome son…he’s currently renovating his mom’s kitchen  (given he’s no stranger to drywall & renovation work). He loves to learn. He’s currently enrolled in classes to learn more coding. He’s the first guy to offer a co-worker a ride when in need.

BEN

DIRECTOR OF PAID SEARCH

Ben’s stellar digital marketing expertise has developed over the past 16 years as a partner in a software company.  This, combined with his role as marketing manager, gives Ben a wide lens overview of digital marketing for a multitude of industry verticals.

His business owner experience, in which he was responsible for achieving outstanding digital marketing results, gives him an in-depth understanding of what business owners and managers are looking for in terms of goals and strategies.  This combined with his agency experience that includes marketing for Fortune 500 companies allows Ben to perform in depth market analysis including current competitor marketing strategies.  This is imperative to ensure that your company’s advertising dollars are laser focused to reach the right customer from the beginning.

In his free time, Ben enjoys the simpler things in life including nature walks, trekking and swimming.  He is also an avid traveler to places like Europe and China.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Video Content Producer: (1 Position Available)

This person will be responsible for utilizing and operating the company’s live-stream video system when we perform live-streamed events. This person will also be required to edit video, create video content, brand recorded content, and record the content itself. There is no training provided for this position.

Requirements to be considered for this position are:

  • Adept at video editing softwares such as camtasia or After Effects Pro
  • Has moderate writing ability.
  • Must be willing to work within the company for at least 2 years
  • Is creative and can take creative initiative
  • Design skills not required but a definite asset

Digital Marketing Specialist: (2 Positions Available)

This person will be a behind the scenes doer. Creating automated systems to capture leads, and convert them into sales. This person will also be responsible for talking to clients, managing client projects, coming up with innovative ways to solve client cash flow problems, and making decisions which are in the best interest of our clients. This is the most diverse position on the team, and requires a deep understanding of ALL the above skills.

We will train this person, thus the requirements to be considered for this position are:

  • Undergraduate degree of a post-secondary institution (minimum)
  • Moderate to Expert Technical ability. This can be defined as:
    • Adept at using various computer systems
    • Familiar with the ADOBE suite of design software
    • Familiar with setting up websites and web hosting
    • Has used or is using WordPress for either themselves or someone else
    • Computer programming skills in any language
  • Speaks Fluent english clearly and confidently. French a definite asset but not required.
  • Has moderate writing ability in English.
  • Is willing to learn an entire new set of skills.
  • Must be willing to work for the company for at least 2 years

CRM Automation Specialist: (2 Positions Available)

This person will be part of an elite team within Training Business Pros responsible for performing Infusionsoft Kickstart training. This person will be required to have a deep understanding of Copywriting, Client Lifecycle Marketing, Infusionsoft, identifying sales cycle gaps and solving client cash flow problems. This person will regularly meet new people and be required to train them and provide results in the form of increased understanding of Infusionsoft, cash flow, and general positive attitude from the client towards us and Infusionsoft. They will also need to manage their accounts and sell these clients upgraded services.

We will train this person, thus the requirements to be considered for this position are:

  • Undergraduate degree of a post-secondary institution (minimum)
  • Moderate to Expert Technical ability. This can be defined as:
    • Adept at using various computer systems
    • Familiar with the ADOBE suite of design software

Lead Search Specialist: (1 Position Available)

This person will be part of an elite team within the company known as: The Pay Per Click Team. This team is responsible for managing client ad accounts. They will have to create ads, be able to write ad copy, design ad campaigns and strategies, analyze the data collected and use that to refine and optimize campaigns. This person will need to be able to provide client support/explain to clients why they are choosing a specific strategy over another. On occasion they will also be required to create landing pages and lead capture strategies that extend beyond PPC duties.

We will train this person, thus the requirements to be considered for this position are:

  • Undergraduate degree of a post-secondary institution (minimum)
  • Moderate to expert technical ability. This can be defined as:
    • Adept at using various computer systems
    • Familiar with setting up websites and web hosting
    • Has used or is using WordPress for either themselves or clients
    • Computer programming skills in any language
  • Speaks Fluent english, as well as speaking clearly and confidently.
  • Has moderate writing ability.
  • Is willing to learn an entire new set of skills.
  • Must be willing to work within the company for at least 2 years.
  • Previous experience with PPC is an asset but not required.
